Hereditary Hair Loss
Most people who suffer from hair loss just have it in their genes. Genetically, they are programmed to lose their hair. However, hair loss is reversible and preventable if you take the right precautions and use the right products.
Many people would say that hereditary hair loss is based solely on your mother’s father and whether or not he lost his hair. However, this is not the case. You can inherit the hair loss gene from lots of places in your family tree, so even if your grandfather on your mother’s side still has all of his hair, you may not be off the hook.
What happens if you did unfortunately end up with the hair loss gene is that your body is producing DHT, which is binding to your hair follicles and causing your hair to fall out. DHT blocks the flow of oxygen to your follicles and therefore makes it so that your follicles are not getting the nutrients they need and they therefore stop producing healthy hair.
Regardless of why you are losing your hair or which one of your relatives is to blame, there are plenty of solutions you can find that will be able to help you stop your hair loss in its tracks and even regrow the hair that you have already lost.
The list of products I have found to be most effective is on my hair loss treatments page and you can read through that and see what you think about it. I’d also be happy to answer any questions you have, so feel free to ask me by submitting a question or comment below.
